Vacation Winter - 2007

Poppy and Grandmama came to Wisconsin for Tori's second birthday. They got to spend many hours out in the snow with the kids and then warm up by the fireplace.

Summer vacation - 2006

We all went to the ocean for a few days and the four grandparents volunteered to take care of the kids so Drew and I could go out for the evening. Tori was so excited she was walking on the ceiling.Poppy took Ben to storytime in the lobby and he won the prize package because he came from the furthest distance. No one remembers what the prize package was, but Ben still remembers being there with Poppy, listening to the story, and winning the prize.

Tori's birthday 2006

Poppy and Grandmama came to celebrate Tori's first birthday. Here Poppy was feeding Tori some pear and she was eating up both the pear and his attention. He always got her to smile.

We then got to celebrate with some cold stone creamery ice cream. Yummm.

Vacation 2005

Poppy and Grandmama brought Joey and Evan out to Wisconsin for a fun summer vacation. We all spent a few days at a water park and had a great time.

Poppy also took the three boys swimming in Oregon one of the days.

Christmas in Wisconsin - 2003

One of the presents that Grandmama and Poppy gave to Ben for Christmas was the start of a coin collection. Pops was a numismatist and wanted to share his excitement of coins with Ben. They spent a lovely day sorting through a big container of coins that was part of the present.

Christmas in Wisconsin - 2003

Grandmama and Poppy came to visit around Christmas 2003.

Ben got a marble run for Christmas which Poppy then took hours to assemble all 58,609 pieces into a spectacular array of loops and twirls and enchanted Ben for days.

Even though we didn't see much of your parents in the last few years I
always thought of the good times we had in Baltimore at their house. He
was an amazing person and I learned a lot from him. His outlook on life and

Water Slide

In 2003, Grandmama and Poppy brought Joey and Evan to WI for some summer fun. We went to Mount Horeb's aquatic center for some great water slide times. Everyone enjoyed it.

The USS Constellation

Poppy loved sharing his love of boats with everyone.
Here he introduced Ben to the historic USS Constellation in 2003.
