Up the tree without his crutches

Poppy loved to buck the system and do things his way.
Here (in 2002) he climbed a tree to spend time with Ben and share with him the joy of climbing trees in spite of having had knee surgery.

Christmas in Wisconsin

Poppy and Grandmama drove all the way to Wisconsin with Joey and Evan to spend Christmas at our house.
