October 2008

Poppy and Grandmama came for Ben's birthday and Poppy and  I got to go to a Badger's basketball game to watch Ben be a ball boy.  Ben got to be on the court, sit at the base of the hoop, and then during timeouts, he got to wipe sweat off the lane.  Very glamorous, I know.  Anyway, we got two free tickets to the game (they are VERY difficult to get) and got to sit with our backs to the wall.  We were the top level and the uppermost seats, but Poppy and I were just as proud as we could be of Ben.  Poppy brought his camera and this was the best picture we could get from our seats.  Ben is the small dot under the arrow :-)

New Year's Eve 2007 (almost)

On December 7, 2007, Mums and Pops decided it would be fun to have knee replacement surgery on the same day.  Gentleman that he was, Pops of course let Mums go first.  They were not allowed to share a room in the hospital, but on the first day after surgery Pops walked down the hall and visited Mums.  That's love.  They then got to recuperate at home together for several weeks and enjoyed every minute together.  Aunt Mary came over on (almost) New Year's Eve and brought them dinner. :-)
